5 million effective-dot-display for future electronic viewfinders, thats the announcement from MicroOLED a french manufacturer of power efficient micro-displays. That means that the display can have 1280×1024 color pixels using 4 dots per pixel layout and still only consume halt the power of competing produts. The display is 0.6 inch with 4.7 micrometer dots and is targeted for professional near-to-eye usage like cameras, camcorders night vision and other head-mounted equipment.
